Loon Residential
Fixed wireless internet for homes and camps. Seven tiers, from $10 a month to 400 Mbps. No contract on any of them.
Find the right plan
Two questions. We will point you at the cheapest plan that covers what you actually do, and show you how we got there.
2 of us. Heaviest use: Streaming in 4K. 2 × 25 Mbps + 5 Mbps background = 55 Mbps at once, plus half again for headroom = 83 Mbps. Home is the cheapest plan that covers it.
Gaming is not on this list because it barely uses speed — about 5 Mbps. What it needs is low latency, and that comes from the connection itself, not from buying a bigger plan.
Want more room? Home Plus is 150 Mbps at $50.19.

| Plan | Download | Upload | Price | Speed provisioned | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best Effort | 25 Mbps | Best effort | $10.00Tax in | No minimum | No minimum speed. Both directions best effort. |
| Starter | 50 Mbps | 10 Mbps | $19.99 | Yes | Browsing, email, one HD stream. |
| HomeMost homes | 100 Mbps | 10 Mbps | $35.09 | Yes | Suits most households. |
| Home Plus | 150 Mbps | 15 Mbps | $50.19 | Yes | Several people streaming at once. |
| Home Pro | 200 Mbps | 20 Mbps | $65.29 | Yes | Home office and heavy evening use. |
| Home Max | 300 Mbps | 30 Mbps | $80.39 | Yes | Large files, many devices. |
| Home Elite | 400 Mbps | 40 Mbps | $95.49 | Yes | Highest residential tier. |
Best Effort has no minimum speed and is capped at 25 Mbps down. Every tier above it is provisioned at the speed listed. Prices other than Best Effort are quoted before tax. What you measure at a device also depends on your own Wi-Fi and the device itself.
What speed you actually need
| What you are doing | Needs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Email, banking, browsing | 1 Mbps | Per person |
| Video call — Zoom, Teams, FaceTime | 3 Mbps | Per call, HD |
| Netflix, Prime — HD | 5 Mbps | Per stream |
| Online gaming | 5 Mbps | Latency matters, speed does not |
| Netflix, Prime, YouTube — 4K | 25 Mbps | Per stream |
| Game or console download | 50 Mbps | Faster is faster. Nothing breaks if it is slower. |
Figures are for one stream or session at a time.
Add up what runs at the same time on a bad evening. Two 4K streams and a video call is 53 Mbps. That is the entire calculation.
A faster plan does not make a slow website faster, and it does not lower your ping in a game. It only lets more things run at once.
If you tell us what is in your house, we will tell you which tier fits. If that is a cheaper one than you asked about, that is what we will say.
Included at every tier

Equipment
A small antenna is mounted outside, usually on the roof or a wall facing the tower. One cable runs from it into the house to a router we supply.
The equipment stays ours. There is no charge for it while you are a customer and nothing to buy up front. If you leave, we collect it.
Getting connected
-
We check line of sight
Fixed wireless needs a clear path between your building and a tower. We check that from the road, and sometimes with a short visit. No charge either way, and if it will not work we tell you.
-
We install
We mount the antenna, run one cable inside, set up the router and test the connection before we leave. A standard install has no charge.
-
You are connected
Your devices join the Wi-Fi like they would on any other service. Keep your old provider running alongside for a while if you want to compare — plenty of people do, and there is no contract stopping you.
Questions
How does fixed wireless work?
A small antenna on your building connects by radio to one of our towers. One cable runs from that antenna inside to a router. From there it behaves like any other internet connection. There is no phone line and no cable to your property.
Does weather affect it?
Heavy snow or ice can cause a temporary slowdown. That means severe weather, not a normal Wawa winter.
Is there an installation or setup fee?
No. Standard installs have no charge. We supply the outdoor antenna and the indoor router as part of the service.
Are the speeds guaranteed?
Best Effort at $10 has no minimum speed and is capped at 25 Mbps down — both directions are best effort. Starter and every tier above it is provisioned at the speed listed. What a device actually measures also depends on your Wi-Fi and the device.
What does the $10 plan include?
Unlimited data, no contract, and a standard install at no charge, for $10 flat with tax included. It is for light use where you accept that the speed varies. Move up to Starter or higher when you want a provisioned speed.
Can I keep my current provider?
Yes. Some people run both for a while to compare before cancelling. You handle the cancellation with your old provider when you are ready.
Is there a data cap?
No. There is no cap, no overage billing and no throttling on any plan.
What happens if I want to leave?
Tell us and we stop billing. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. We arrange a time to collect the equipment.
